Celtics’ Mop Boy Amazingly Receives MVP Chants At TD Garden After Recovering The Ball

Mop Boys have always had their fair share of spotlight in professional basketball.

While some have previously become viral sensations for dance moves, or the way they perform on their job, others will get their five minutes of fame for recovering a stuck basketball.

During Thursday’s game between the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns, the Celtics’ mop boy had to get the ball, after it got stuck on top of the backboard.

After he finally got it loose, the crowd amazingly erupted into applause and even started to give him MVP chants. Receiving MVP chants at Boston Garden? Certainly something he won’t ever forget.
