Carmelo Anthony Surprised Fan Battling Cancer With A New Car

Christmas is the season of giving. Carmelo Anthony teamed up with Kia and his own foundation, to surprise a Knicks fan, who is fighting cancer, with a brand new car for Christmas.

Seventeen year old Jarell Lara, who has rare form of cancer called Langerhan’s Cell Histiocytosis met up with Melo before the Knicks’ game against the Celtics on Christmas Day. Jarell reportedly had just completed 18 months of chemotherapy. The whole family is helping Jarell to fight cancer, his mother quit her job to care for him, and his father took up a second job, working construction to help pay for the expenses.
