Bill Simmons Is Done Comparing Joel Embiid And Nikola Jokic: “Jokic Plays, Jokic Has Come Through In Big Games!”

Joel Embiid has been an absolute force this season. Following his MVP campaign last year, he’s on another MVP-caliber tear, averaging 36.0 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game on 53.9% shooting from the field. With him at the helm, the Philadelphia 76ers sit comfortably in the third seed of the Eastern Conference.

Despite his dominant production and impact, Embiid often finds himself overshadowed by Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic. These two undoubtedly stand head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to the best center in the NBA, but Jokic often receives the nod, buoyed by his recent championship and Finals MVP accolades.

Amidst the endless comparisons, Bill Simmons now revealed that he’s done with exactly that – comparing the two.

“I’m just done talking about Embiid and Jokic. I’m completely out. Jokic plays, Jokic has come through in big games, and Jokic won the title, and his playoff performance resume for the age that he’s at in his career is unbelievable. And we cannot compare Embiid to him to anymore because Embiid scored 70 against Zach Collins.”
