The Los Angeles Lakers cruised past the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, winning 129-118. Luka Doncic went on a tear, pouring in 46 points with 7 rebounds and 12 assists while shooting 60% from the field. LeBron James added 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists on 47.4% shooting.
The Lakers still have their flaws and inconsistencies, but when Luka and this group are clicking like this, it’s hard to completely count them out against anyone in the league. They’re not the clear favorites, but the win kept them in the fifth seed in the Western Conference, ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves and just behind the Houston Rockets.
The Lakers look dangerous on nights like this, but the playoffs will ultimately define them after last year’s first-round loss against the Timberwolves. Though many expect some postseason noise, former NBA point guard Jeff Teague doesn’t share that same confidence.
“I don’t really see nothing from them in the playoffs. But it’s cool to see LeBron play at a decent level.”
Jeff Teague says the Lakers or a fun team to watch when LeBron and Luka or having moments but I don’t think they going to win nothing
