Fresh off helping the Oklahoma City Thunder capture their first-ever NBA championship, Alex Caruso traded his jersey for an apron, serving up chicken fingers and smiles during a celebratory shift at Raising Cane’s in Oklahoma City.

Caruso clocked in at the Raising Cane’s on North May Avenue, just days after the Thunder’s historic Finals win. The event drew massive crowds, with fans lining up around the block for a chance to meet the two-time NBA champion.

During his hour-long shift, Caruso worked the front counter and drive-thru, posed for selfies, and handed out orders as fans chanted “Let’s Go Thunder!”.

Though Caruso joined the Thunder via trade from the Chicago Bulls in 2024, his professional journey began in Oklahoma City with the G League’s OKC Blue. His return to the city and his role in delivering its first NBA title, made the moment especially meaningful.

“Once I got here, I just started building those relationships with the guys,” Caruso said. “I think I’m pretty unserious off the court, as well… I fit in pretty well”.

Sporting his signature headband and a Raising Cane’s uniform, Caruso dished out more than just chicken, he served up gratitude. Fans praised his humility and humor, and the event quickly went viral as a feel-good moment of connection between player and city.
