There’s reason to keep an eye on Ace Bailey this year. He gets buckets from everywhere and has shown he has the height and wingspan to give him easier access to his spots and let him score in more ways than one. He has great upside and looks like someone who can make an impact from Day 1.

With Utah selecting him fifth overall, Bailey lands in a great position to build confidence and find his rhythm. The Jazz aren’t expected to stack up wins right away, but there’s nothing standing in Bailey’s way from collecting individual accolades along the way.

Not every rookie gets this kind of runway. He does, and it could turn into something even bigger. Interestingly, Bailey is not just eyeing Rookie of the Year. An All-Star appearance is also on the radar. That feat hasn’t happened since Blake Griffin pulled it off as a redshirt in 2011.

Per The Athletic

“I definitely want to win Rookie of the Year,” he said Wednesday, per Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic. “Definitely want to be an All-Star my rookie year. I want to do a lot.”
