NBA star Zion Williamson is facing serious allegations detailed in a civil lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. An anonymous plaintiff, referred to as “Jane Doe,” accuses the New Orleans Pelicans forward of rape, physical abuse, and a prolonged pattern of coercive behavior spanning from 2018 to 2023.

The lawsuit outlines multiple incidents, including two alleged rapes in Beverly Hills in 2020. The plaintiff claims that Williamson, during these instances, physically restrained and assaulted her, subsequently confiscating her phone and laptop to prevent her from seeking help. Additional allegations include threats involving firearms, strangulation leading to unconsciousness, and other forms of physical and emotional abuse across several states, including Louisiana and Texas

Williamson’s legal team has categorically denied all allegations, describing them as “false and reckless. They assert that the relationship was consensual and casual, ending years ago, and suggest that the lawsuit is financially motivated.

“We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and we unequivocally deny them. The allegations contained in the complaint are categorically false and reckless. This is the plaintiff’s third set of attorneys. This appears to be an attempt to exploit a professional athlete driven by a financial motive rather than any legitimate grievance.

According to his attorneys, Williamson has reported alleged extortion attempts to law enforcement and plans to file counterclaims seeking damages for defamation.

The plaintiff’s attorneys emphasize the seriousness of the case and express confidence in the legal process to bring justice. They state that their client looks forward to presenting her case in court before a jury

As of now, the lawsuit remains a civil matter with no criminal charges filed. The New Orleans Pelicans have acknowledged the situation but have deferred comments to Williamson’s legal representatives.
