Carlos Boozer Says Giannis Should Join The Lakers If He Wants Another Title

The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of elimination, trailing 3-1 in their first-round series, while the Milwaukee Bucks have already been sent home early by the Indiana Pacers. Both franchises are now facing major offseason questions, and former NBA power forward Carlos Boozer may have just added another to the list.

The Bucks never quite looked like serious contenders this season, and the Lakers are still searching for a consistent two-way anchor in the frontcourt. Boozer has now made his pitch clear: if Giannis wants to win, he should consider joining the Lakers.

“If I’m Giannis [Antetokounmpo] and I don’t want to go back to Milwaukee, maybe play with Luka [Doncic], maybe go to LA [to the Lakers] if he wants to win?”

Giannis is still under contract in Milwaukee, so any move would require a trade. While the Lakers have some intriguing pieces such as Austin Reaves and Dalton Knecht, it would be a steep price for a franchise player like Giannis. Then again, this is the same team that found a way to land LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and eventually Luka Doncic. When it comes to the Lakers, nothing is ever completely off the table.
