Former NBA player Michael Beasley was arrested early Sunday morning at Manhattan Regional Airport in Kansas for possession of marijuana. The arrest took place at approximately 5:12 a.m., just hours after Beasley attended the Sunflower Showdown game between Kansas State and Kansas.
Michael Beasley is the first name in today’s arrest report from the Riley County Police Department.

According to the Riley County Police Department, Beasley was found with just under six grams of marijuana while attempting to board a plane. He was booked and later released on a $750 bond. This incident marks another legal issue for Beasley, who has faced similar charges in the past.
Beasley, a former Kansas State standout and consensus All-American in 2007-08, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat. Over his 11-season NBA career, he played for seven different teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, where he finished his NBA journey in 2019. Since then, he has played in China and Puerto Rico.
