The NBA has officially announced that Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault will serve as the head coach of the Western Conference for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. This prestigious honor comes as a result of the Thunder clinching the best record in the Western Conference through games played on February 2, 2025.
Daigneault, who has been with the Thunder since 2019, has led the team to an impressive 35-7 record this season, marking the best start in Thunder history. His leadership and strategic acumen have been instrumental in the team’s success, including a 15-game win streak and an 11-game home win streak.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will feature a new mini-tournament format, with four teams competing in three games. Daigneault will coach one of the four teams, which will be composed of NBA All-Star selections. The other three teams will include the champion from the Castrol Rising Stars competition and the team of the head coach and assistant coach from the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference.
The All-Star Game will take place on February 16, 2025, at Chase Center in San Francisco, and will be broadcast on TNT. Fans can look forward to an exciting and competitive showcase of the league’s top talent, with Daigneault leading the charge for the Western Conference.
