The NCAA men’s basketball tournament is one of the world’s most exciting and unpredictable sporting events. Every year, 68 teams compete in a single-elimination tournament hoping to be crowned national champions. And while the top-ranked teams are often considered the favourites, March Madness is notorious for its upsets.
So far, we’ve seen plenty of upsets this year, with not a single number one seed reaching the Elite Eight, which is a first in NCAA Tournament history.
Sacramento Kings All-Star and former Kentucky Wildcat De’Aaron Fox however isn’t a fan of March Madness, or college basketball in general. Fox told reporters he couldn’t get through a full game, citing poor officiating, an overall low quality of shotmaking and even poor coaching.
“I can’t watch a full college game. It’s hard. Just the shot-making is obviously not at the pro level. The refs are bad. A lot of the coaching is really bad … I can’t stand it.”
