Nick Young Claims To Know Why The NBA’s TV Ratings Are Down
The NBA TV ratings are down again from last season. TNT ratings are down by 23%, ESPN ratings are down 20%, and Regional Sports Network ratings are down 13%.
While TV is becoming a lesser important medium more and more, the league is looking for other reasons of the decreasing ratings problem.
Maybe they should ask Nick Young. The former NBA player took his frustrations to Twitter and sees a direct correlation between the ratings and several veteran fan favorites, remaining unsigned two months into the season.
“NBA rating are down because your signing a lot players nobody knows and letting your ppl champs go. ppl have a connection with fun players. like lance make”em dance or jr smith the entertainment these type of players bring sell. kids love to see the air guitar after a made.”
