Warriors Players’ Wholesomely Honor Fred Kast, Scorekeeper Of 57 Years

In the 1963-64 NBA season, a 22-year old man named Fred Kast, joined the Warriors organization and started working at the scorer’s table.

More than 57 years later, during the Golden State Warriors’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers last night, scorekeeper Kast made sure every Curry three-pointer was rightfully counted, for the last time.

The soon-to-be 82 year-old, who witnessed plays by Warriors legends from Wilt Chamberlain to Rick Barry, to Run TMC, Baron Davis, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, officially retired. After the game, the players made sure to honor him, and let him score the final basket of the night. This is so wholesome.
