Tyrese Haliburton Trolls New York Knicks For Passing On Him

Through the first quarter of the NBA season, Sacramento Kings rookie, Tyrese Haliburton has definitely been the most impactful rookie in the NBA.

Even though the Kings still are pretty bad, they are a much better team with him on the court. Haliburton has an incredible basketball IQ and amazing decision making for a rookie, he’s a great shooter with a quick release and an amazing passer, who isn’t careless with the ball.

Seeing him on the court makes it hard to believe that 11 teams passed on the point guard in last year’s NBA Draft. Especially these, drafting a different point guard ahead of him.

This is also the reason Haliburton played with a chip on his shoulder and had some extra motivation against the New York Knicks. The rookie had yet another impressive all-around game and finished with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks, and made the Knicks regret passing on him.

Per New York Daily News:

“My job is to make them think about that when they go to sleep. I guess it fueled me personally. But I love it here (in Sacramento). If I did it all over, I pray to God I slipped here. It’s no hard feelings. It is what it is. It’s a business. I don’t care.”

After the game, he proceeded to throw a little jab in the Knicks’ direction.
