Toni Kukoc Doesn’t Think Nikola Jokic Is Better Than Vlade Divac And Dino Radja

A two-time MVP, an NBA champion, an NBA Finals MVP, and a six-time All-Star, Nikola Jokic isn’t just the best center in the NBA today, but he’s also in the conversation for being one of the greatest centers in NBA history.

The scary part is that Jokic isn’t done yet. His Denver Nuggets team remains a big threat with him at the helm. Right now, they boast a 52-23 record, and the Nuggets superstar is averaging a near triple-double with 26.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, 9.0 assists on 57.9% shooting from the field.

Despite his achievements and continued dominance, some remain unconvinced. Former Chicago Bulls forward Toni Kukoc, for instance, believes Jokic still hasn’t reached the level of European centers like Vlade Divac and Dino Radja.

Per Eurohoops:

“Despite the statistics, Jokic isn’t at the level of [Vlade] Divac and Dino [Radja] in the center position,” Kukoc said to Sporski Zurnal. “30 years ago, Divac surprised America with the way he handled the ball while being this tall. Radja when it comes to how he could catch the ball under the basket and reach the other side of the court to score.” “Jokić has improved a lot and can improve his game a lot,” Kukoc, a key player during the Chicago Bulls second threepeat, added.
