The Los Angeles Lakers Could Reportedly Target Nick Nurse For Head Coaching Position

Doc Rivers and Quin Snyder have emerged as early candidates for the head coaching position of the Los Angeles Lakers, and another coach that could possibly join them in the future is Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse.

Nurse has proven himself as one of the best coaches in the NBA. In his time with the Raptors, Nurse has already amassed a 186-121 (60.6%) record, three playoff berths, an NBA championship and a Coach of the Year award.

The 54-year old Raptors coach is currently represented by Klutch Sports, a sports agency which represents a number of stars including LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Due to his ties with the said agency, speculations suggest that Nurse could be a potential target for the Lakers.

Per Heavy.com:

“I would expect the Lakers to at least ask about Nick Nurse.”

“They’re [Toronto] not going to let him go. But it makes him look better and Klutch look better if they are asking for him, right? So yeah, I would not be surprised to see the Lakers ask about him but more as a favor to Klutch. Maybe they won’t because he is so far out of reach. But, you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours, that is how things work.”
