Chandler Parsons Calls Out Ja Morant For His Gun Celebration: “Make This About Basketball”

Ja Morant has finally returned to the court after serving a 25-game suspension due to a recent gun-related incident. Since his comeback, Morant has been a driving force for the Grizzlies, leading them to an impressive 4-0 streak.

In their latest match, Morant put on a show, scoring 31 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists. However, his performance wasn’t the only aspect that drew attention. Morant’s celebration, where he mimicked shooting a pistol and a bazooka, also didn’t go unnoticed.

While a handful of fans took it lightly and found humor in Morant’s gesture, others were not amused, especially considering his gun-related issues. Among the critics was former NBA player Chandler Parsons, who publicly criticized the Grizzlies point guard for his celebratory gesture.

“What else has to happen for you, and your family and your friends, to learn? Make this about basketball, make this about your life, make this about your livelihood, and stop doing things like this.”
