Steve Kerr Makes Interesting Comparison Between Draymond Green And LeBron James

It’s obvious that Draymond Green and LeBron James do not belong in the same tier. LeBron is arguably the best player today and an established center piece of every team he’s been on, while Draymond is a borderline All-Star player and someone who excels at being a puzzle piece to other top players.

However, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr thinks the two prominent NBA players have a few things in common. When asked whether there’s anybody who can defend and run an offense like Draymond, Kerr quickly brought up the name of the four-time NBA champion.

Does anybody in league have Draymond’s skillset to defend at that level and run an offense?

Kerr: “Maybe LeBron … obviously LeBron and Draymond are very different players, but just in terms of making an impact on both ends, having that size and that brain to control the game”

LeBron and Draymond enjoyed lengthy battles from 2015 to 2018 NBA Finals. Draymond and the Warriors lead their head-to-head series with three finals wins. Of course, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were the bigger marquee players on the Warriors, but the impact that Draymond created still cannot be ignored.

This season, Draymond and the Warriors are having a roller-coaster season which is nowhere close to their prime seasons from at least six years ago. Even so, Draymond is having a respectable year, racking up all-around numbers for the seventh-seeded Warriors team.

LeBron, on the other hand, has taken the center stage once again; generating MVP buzz and putting the Los Angeles Lakers in a position to compete for another NBA championship.
