Shaquille O’Neal Became An Early Google Investor By Babysitting The CEO’s Kids

Shaquille O’Neal has endless great stories. It acutally is unbelievable. Not only did he help launching the careers of N*SYNC and Backstreet Boys, he also has the record for the highest purchase in Walmart history.

But that’s not even the beginning. When Shaq was a guest on The Ellen Show a while back, he explained how coincidentally babysitting then-CEO Howard Schultz’s kids, led to him investing in one of the biggest companies in the world – Google. When he invested in Google, it had a $100 million valuation. Today, Google is worth 1.89 Trillion, and Shaq still has some of his shares.

“He said you know what you’re good with kids, I like you. I’m going to bring you in on this investment.”
