Scottie Pippen Reveals That Devin Booker Is His Favorite Up-And-Coming Player, Says Booker Reminds Him A Lot Of Kobe Bryant

Devin Booker put up a stellar showing last season that included an NBA Finals appearance and another All-Star honor. This season, Booker is geared up to register another solid year, averaging 22.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game on 43.9% shooting from the field while helping lead the Phoenix Suns to the second seed in the Western Conference.

Booker is continuing to thrive as the No.1 scoring option for the Suns and as a promising young star in the NBA. Although his ranking in the NBA is continually up for debate, many fans and personalities have continued to hold high expectations for the 25-year old scoring dynamo.

Recently, NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen gave Booker his full stamp of approval, calling him his favorite up-and-coming player in the NBA. The former Chicago Bulls superstar then heaped high praise for Booker by comparing him to basketball legend Kobe Bryant.

“Favorite up-and-coming player? Um, I like Devin Booker, I mean, I don’t know if he’s an up-and-coming player. But it’s gonna be exciting to watch his growth and development. He’s continuing to get better. Reminds me a lot of a guy like Kobe, who’s, you know, an efficient scorer and a guy that wants to score.”
