Reggie Miller Believes Derrick White Deserves An All-Star Spot This Season

The Boston Celtics have been cruising through the Eastern Conference this season, boasting a record of 35-10. While much credit rightfully goes to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, an essential contributor to their success emerges in the form of versatile defensive guard Derrick White.

This season, White is averaging 15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game on 46.5% shooting from the field. While his stats may not jump out, his play still shouldn’t be overlooked, particularly given his role as a fourth option and elite defense that complements his steady offensive production.

Taking everything into account, people are bound to talk about White’s status in the NBA. Enter NBA legend Reggie Miller, who believes the 29-year-old Celtics guard deserves an All-Star spot this season.

“I would be surprised if he’s not on the All-Star team. At some point you got to reward winning.”
