Oshae Brissett Achieved Incredible Record That Jordan, LeBron, Kobe And Other Stars Were Never Able To Reach

Dave Cowens, Scottie Pippen, Kevin Garnett, Giannis Antetkounmpo, Nikola Jokic AND Oshae Brissett.

These six players are the only players in league history to lead their team in all of the five big statistical categories in a season, as first reported by Reddit user WinterStarlightZone

While we’ve got five All-Stars and (future) Hall of Famers, seeing Oshae Brissett’s name comes as a surprise.

Just like Nikola Jokic, Brissett was able to achieve this historic feat this season. Interestingly, his averages of 9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 blocks were enough to lead his team in every of these categories.

The reason for Brissett to lead his team in every of the categories is partly due to the Pacers bad luck with injuries this season, and to the other part due to the trade that sent Domantas Sabonis to the Kings in exchange for Tyrese Haliburton. Like we’ve learned when talking about LeBron James’ scoring title race, a player need to have played 70% of the games, which is a minimum of 58 games in an 82-game long regular season, to be eligible to qualify on the leaderboard.

While Brissett played 67 of the Pacers’ 82 games, enough for the team lead, Chris Duarte only needed to play in 55 games to be the number two on the team. So Brissett lead the team by default, but still is now part of the elite group mentioned above.
