Montrezl Harrell Throws Shade At Los Angeles Lakers For How They Utilized Him Last Season

Following a career-year and winning the Sixth Man of the Year award with the Los Angeles Clippers, Montrezl Harrell made a surprising move in the offseason and decided to sign with Clippers’ hometown rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Harrell eventually saw minutes with the Lakers and put together some decent numbers of 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds on 62.2% shooting from the field despite having to share minutes with three big men in Marc Gasol, Andre Drummond and Anthony Davis.

Harrell’s tenure with the team didn’t last long as he was later traded to the Washington Wizards along with Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as part of the blockbuster deal that sent Russell Westbrook to Los Angeles.

Now, as a member of the Wizards, Harrell was asked about his thoughts on filling up a role with the team. When doing so, Harrell took the chance to throw shade at his former team for how they utilized him last season.

“I didn’t really get to be utilized how I wanted to be last year. I damn near felt like I had a season off.”
