Marv Albert’s Unthoughtful And Racist Comment Caused A Shitstorm

Juneteenth National Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It is celebrated on June 19 every year.

This year, on June 19, Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks vs Brooklyn Nets also took place.

During that game, commentator Marv Albert made a very unthoughful, racist comment while describing the team’s star players, that now caused a shitstorm.

You can’t make this up. They just announced something about George Floyd and Juneteenth during the Net vs. Bucks game, and maybe a minute later, Marv Albert calls Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant “valuable property.”
