Magic Johnson Thinks Chris Paul Should Call LeBron James And The Lakers If He Opts Out

The Phoenix Suns just got bounced by the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, and it didn’t take too long for people to speculate what’s next for Suns veteran point guard Chris Paul, who helped the Suns clinch their first NBA Finals appearance since 1993.

Paul got to show that he still got some gas left in the tank as he labored through the playoffs with averages of 19.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game on 49.7% shooting from the field. But as the clock ticks down late into his career, many observers believe that Paul should make a decision that will bring him another inch closer to an NBA championship.

For Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, that decision means making a call to LeBron James for a chance to team up in Los Angeles next season. On Twitter, Johnson also added that a trio of LeBron, Paul, and Anthony Davis is a surefire bet to be the eventual NBA champions.

“If Chris Paul opts out of his contract with the Suns, his first call should be from his best friend LeBron James and the Lakers.”

“A big three with LeBron, Chris, and AD will equal a NBA championship!”
