LeBron James Receives The Most Abusive Messages Among Athletes According To A Recent Study

LeBron James shines on and off the court. He’s one of the greatest NBA players of all-time and a class act who constantly gives back to his community. In spite of this, LeBron often has to deal with a lot of hate from plenty of people.

Of course, that’s not to say that there aren’t fair reasons to dislike the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, especially when a lot of his antics and decisions could rub fans the wrong way.

Now, to paint a picture of how much hate LeBron receives on a regular – a betting site named ‘Pickwise’ conducted a study that counted the number of abusive messages an athlete received on Twitter over the past 12 months. Apparently, LeBron edges out everybody, and it’s not even close.

According to the study, LeBron received 122,568 abusive messages for the past 12 months. The closest athlete is Manchester United and England football player Marcus Rashford with 32,328 abusive messages. Tom Brady (28,151), Kevin Durant (24,370) and Bubba Wallace (21,750) meanwhile rounded up the rest of the top five.
