Kyrie Irving Fined $35K For Violating NBA’s Media Policy

The NBA has fined both Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets $35,000 for violating the league’s media policy.

The hefty fine was given out because Irving repeatedly refused to participate in postgame media availability.

This is not the first time Irving has gotten into trouble with the NBA over media sessions and availabilities.

Before the start of this season, Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving made it clear that he’s embracing a media blackout, consequently claiming that his attention is worth more and that he refuses to talk to pawns.

As expected, Irving’s statement became controversial and hit a ton of people negatively. While Irving clarified his comment, explaining that he’s not attacking or referring to the media, this didn’t stop people, particularly media members to fire back at Irving.
