Jayson Tatum Will Dominate The Game Like Kobe Bryant 2-3 Years From Now, Per Gilbert Arenas

Jayson Tatum is pegged as one of the next biggest stars in the NBA. He has shown a lot of promise since day one, and is now off to prove that he’s capable of taking the next steps in order to meet those high expectations.

Tatum has unquestionably become the face of the Boston Celtics, and while the Celtics haven’t been as good as advertised, the 22-year old Celtics star has impressed and has seen a drastic leap in his game as he averages 25.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game on 45.3% shooting through 44 games this season.

Former Washington Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas had nothing but admiration for the young Celtics star. Sitting down with ‘Whistle Sports’, Arenas likened him to basketball legend Kobe Bryant, and claimed that Tatum will ascend into Kobe’s level in two to three years in terms of dominating the game of basketball.

“You know, two years, three years from now, you’re gonna see a player (Tatum) who’s dominating this game on a Kobe level,” Arenas said. “Because he possesses all those intangibles that’s going to make him compared to that guy.”

“Kobe was great at everything. Mid-range, getting to his spot and that is what Tatum is finding out too. No matter what the defense is giving, you are going to your destination. When you get there, you rise up and hit your shot.”
