“It’s Fu**ing Embarrassing!” Marcus Smart Yells At Memphis Grizzlies Teammates During Blowout Loss

The Memphis Grizzlies have had an awful start to the current NBA season. They are currently 3-13, and their offense has been especially abysmal. They have the second worst offensive rating in the league, and while it does look a little better on the defensive end, with the 19th best defensive rating this season, it does also seem worrisome, given that they roster the last two defensive players of the year in Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marcus Smart.

There are a number of reasons for the Grizzlies’ struggles. One of the biggest factors has been the absence of Ja Morant, who is still serving his 25-game suspension, another is the loss of their center Stephen Adams, who will miss the entire season due to an injury. But, their struggles run deeper than just not having their All-Star and big man.

The Grizzlies have also struggled to close out games, and they’re lacking confidence, and seemingly can’t make a shot. All this led to them losing all eight of their home games.

While Marcus Smart currently isn’t able to help is team on the court, due to an injury, he still seems very much engaged, while also being a vocal leader. During last night’s blowout loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Smart had enough, yelled at his teammates, and gave a passionate speech.

Smart appeared to yell, “It’s fu**ing embarrassing, it’s fu**ing embarrassing!” a couple of times.

After the timeout, the Grizzlies came out and went on a run, before Minnesota found back their groove and closed the game out.

Both Morant and the Grizzlies hope his return can eventually turn this disastrous season around for Memphis. Morant definitely is a player who can ignite a team and the fans, especially playing like he has something to prove to the world. With just nine more games left in his suspension, things could soon be looking brighter again in Tennessee.
