His Brother Strahinja Is The Only Person Nikola Jokic Is Afraid Of In This World: “He Held Down My Arms & Threw Knives Around My Head”

This past Monday night, Nikola Jokic was ejected from the game Nuggets’ game against the Miami Heat after a vicious slam on Markieff Morris, and served a one-game suspension.

The play was dead when Jokic slammed into Morris, who had a cheap shot on Jokic seconds before, and was ejected as well.

The aftermath was pretty intense and involved Morris’ brother Marcus as well as Jokic’s brothers, who immediately bought tickets for the next Nuggets-Heat game in Miami on November 29th.

It might be best for the Morris brothers to not follow up on the altercation. The Jokic brothers definitely aren’t people you want to mess with, and Nikola Jokic admitted that he isn’t afraid of anyone in the world but his brother.

In a 2017 interview, Nikola said following words about his brother, Strahinja.

“Why be afraid? I am playing a game of basketball. I am scared of only one person in my life. That’s my brother. Have you seen him?…

Upon reading stories about said Jokic brother, one understands why it is pretty much normal to be scared of him.

Per Sports Illustrated:

“He once held down my arms and threw knives all around my head,” Nikola adds, punishment for refusing to climb a tree during a picnic. “That was a little crazy.”
