Gordon Hayward’s Video Message To Boston Fans After Injury

You simply couldn’t imagine a worse debut than what Gordon Hayward had to live through in his first game as a Celtic. After only about five minutes, Hayward went down with a horrific ankle injury that will most likely keep him out for the rest of the season.

But everyone around Hayward has that ‘now more than ever’ mentality. Even Hayward himself, who recorded a message to Boston fans, while lying on a hospital bed. The All Star thanked everyone who prayed for him during the and after the game, and who gave him support. The video was played at TD garden last night, and it received loud cheers from the fans.

“Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s had me in their thoughts and prayers. I’m gonna be all right. It hurt me that I can’t be there for the home opener. I want nothing more than to be with my teammates and walk out on that floor tonight, but I’ll be supporting you guys from here and wishing you the best of luck. Kill it tonight.”
