Dwyane Wade Thought About Reuniting With LeBron In Cleveland Before Signing With Chicago

After 13 seasons in Miami, Dwyane Wade singed with the Chicago Bulls this off-season. A deal that made waves – in the NBA, and especially down in Miami. Many people (some of us included) passed the buck to Pat Riley and saw him responsible for Dwyane’s departure. But in an interview with slamonline, Wade now insisted that it wasn’t about money. He also was asked if he thought about joining forces with LeBron again, with whom he had won two rings and went to the NBA Finals 4 years in a row.

“For me, it’s as simple as, I got a deal in Miami for $41 million, I got a deal in Chicago for $47 million. It didn’t come down to the money. I thought about Cleveland, but I didn’t fit there. You don’t just do something because, Oh, I could win the ring there. I have three rings. I don’t need to chase the ring. This is what I wanted to do. I couldn’t fight it. If you fight it, you’re gonna always be like, You shoulda, or, What could’ve—I don’t like to live my life like that.”

I would have loved Dwyane Wade signing with the Cavs. One insane superteam in the West, and one in the East.
