Chris Broussard Believes The Responsibility For The Lakers Struggles Should Fall On LeBron James, Not Darvin Ham

After the Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs for the second year in a row, criticism and blame started swirling. Not long after, the Lakers parted ways with their head coach, Darvin Ham, who had been with the team for two seasons.

Ham joined the Lakers in 2022, taking over from Frank Vogel. Under his leadership, the Lakers posted a 90-74 regular season record and a 9-12 record in the playoffs. Their first year together saw a strong showing, reaching the Western Conference Finals. However, this year, they exited early in the first round.

While many Lakers fans are happy with the decision to let go of the 50-year-old coach, some analysts, like Chris Broussard, disagree. Broussard believes the responsibility for the Lakers’ struggles should fall on LeBron James, not Ham.

“As the leader, LeBron should accept that the losses are on him — even if it’s not his fault. Getting rid of Darvin Ham was a mistake. Who is out there?”
