Jaylen Brown Shows Off $20,000 Toilet, 24-Karat Gold Bathroom And Hyperbaric Chamber Inside His Luxurious Boston Penthouse

Jaylen Brown might have traded Boston for Philadelphia, but the former Celtics superstar isn’t ready to give up his extraordinary Boston home.

In a new episode of Architectural Digest’s Open Door, the 2024 NBA Finals MVP invited viewers inside his spectacular 4,000-square-foot penthouse, revealing a collection of extravagant features that includes a $20,000 toilet, 24-karat gold bathroom finishes and a medical-grade hyperbaric chamber positioned right next to his bed.

And somehow, the expensive toilet might have provided the funniest moment of the entire tour.

Brown explained that he completely redesigned the apartment’s master bathroom, replacing its original layout with Italian marble flooring, gold finishes and an oversized bathtub that comfortably accommodates his 6-foot-6 frame.

But the centerpiece is a futuristic toilet that reportedly cost around $20,000 and plays ocean sounds when flushed.

Unfortunately, when Brown attempted to demonstrate the luxury fixture for the cameras, it didn’t appear to function properly.

“This shit doesn’t even work, man,” he joked.

The rest of the apartment is hardly less impressive.

Brown’s bedroom doubles as a personal recovery center, featuring customized bedding inspired by the Four Seasons hotel chain, a mechanical massage roller and a hyperbaric chamber.

According to Brown, the medical-grade chamber uses pressurized oxygen as part of his recovery routine. He explained that he obtained permission from New England Baptist Hospital before installing the equipment in his apartment.

The penthouse also includes a customized suede pool table, an elaborate sneaker collection, a glass wine cellar, a private bar and a display featuring his 2024 NBA championship trophy.

Perhaps the most unusual possession, however, is an antique 18th-century harp with gold detailing. Brown considers it one of his most treasured purchases and occasionally invites professional harpist Li Shan Tan to perform in his home.

Despite the extraordinary luxury, the apartment also contains meaningful reminders of his family and basketball journey, including a commissioned portrait of his grandmother.

Brown purchased the property in late 2023 and spent approximately two years transforming it with interior designer Linda Zarifi, drawing inspiration from the sleek aesthetics of James Bond movies.

Interestingly, the former Celtics star intends to keep the property despite being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers during the offseason.

After spending a decade in Boston, Brown explained that the city remains an important part of his identity.

“This one felt the most like home,” he told Architectural Digest.

And while his NBA career has entered an entirely new chapter in Philadelphia, Brown’s remarkable penthouse remains a reminder of everything he built during his years in Boston.

A $20,000 toilet that doesn’t always cooperate, a private oxygen chamber and a centuries-old golden harp. Jaylen Brown’s home is anything but ordinary.
