LaMelo Ball’s move from Charlotte to Minnesota has produced an unexpected farewell tour of his former home.
A video reportedly recorded by a mover helping Ball relocate surfaced online and offered viewers a detailed look inside the point guard’s Charlotte penthouse. The footage quickly spread across social media because of the apartment’s highly personalized interior, which featured neon lighting, arcade-style entertainment, alien decorations and space-themed furniture and surfaces.
The penthouse reportedly sits inside The Trust building in Uptown Charlotte, a property previously associated with former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Michael Jordan. The video showed an interior that looked less like a conventional luxury apartment and more like a private entertainment space built around Ball’s interests in gaming, science fiction and bold visual design.

Among the most striking details were alien figures, galaxy-inspired countertops, gaming stations, a basketball shooting game and artwork built around Ball’s own image. A framed emergency display containing $10,000 also appeared in the footage, adding another unusual feature to a residence already filled with unconventional choices.
The apartment is being emptied following Ball’s trade from the Charlotte Hornets to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Charlotte sent Ball and Josh Green to Minnesota in a major offseason deal that brought Naz Reid and a collection of future draft assets to the Hornets.
