One New York Knicks fan turned his worst night at Madison Square Garden into perhaps the funniest autograph opportunity at Fanatics Fest.
The fan brought Tyrese Haliburton an image of himself celebrating on the arena’s jumbotron during Game 1 of the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals. At the time, New York led Indiana by 14 points with fewer than three minutes remaining and appeared to have the series opener under control.
It did not.
The Pacers erased the deficit, and Haliburton hit a dramatic shot at the end of regulation that he initially believed was a game-winning three-pointer. With his toe on the line, it counted as a two and forced overtime instead. Haliburton still celebrated by recreating Reggie Miller’s famous choke gesture before Indiana completed the comeback with a 138–135 victory.
Over a years later, the Knicks supporter asked the man responsible for the heartbreak to autograph the exact moment he had been caught celebrating too early. Haliburton appeared delighted by the request, turning a brutal postseason memory into an elite piece of basketball memorabilia.

It was the perfect interaction between a fan willing to laugh at himself and a player who has quickly embraced his role as a Madison Square Garden villain.
