Anthony Edwards And Adidas Lean Into The Moment: “I’m The Top Dog”

When Anthony Edwards gets a fresh stage, he rarely wastes it, and neither does adidas. Hours after Edwards was named a 2026 NBA All-Star reserve, adidas rolled out a new spot built around a simple, chest-out declaration:

“I’m the top dog.”

The timing is the point. All-Star selection week is a branding window as much as a basketball checkpoint, and Edwards has become one of the league’s most marketable personalities precisely because his confidence is never performative; it’s his default setting. The new ad plays directly into that image, pairing the line with a tone that’s more competitive than celebratory, less “thank you” and more “remember who you’re dealing with.”

Edwards’ All-Star nod, announced with the full reserve list, places him in the Western Conference reserve group alongside LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Chet Holmgren, Jamal Murray, and Deni Avdija. The 2026 event itself will be staged at the Clippers’ Intuit Dome in Inglewood and will use a new “USA vs. World” tournament-style format, adding even more made-for-TV energy to a weekend already designed to go viral.

For adidas, the campaign also reinforces a clear strategy: Edwards isn’t being sold as a polite endorser, but as a swagger-forward centerpiece. For Edwards, it’s a neat bit of symmetry. The league rewards him with an All-Star berth; the brand responds by putting the bravado on record.
