Snoop Dogg Turns Steve Kerr’s Ejection Into Instant TV

The Golden State Warriors’ one-point loss to the Los Angeles Clippers had all the ingredients of late-night NBA chaos; a tight finish, stars in foul trouble, and a coach boiling over at the officials. But what pushed the moment into viral territory was who happened to be on the broadcast.

Snoop Dogg, appearing as a guest analyst on the Peacock telecast, was on the mic when Warriors coach Steve Kerr erupted in the fourth quarter and got ejected, and Snoop narrated the entire scene with the kind of running commentary that sounded less like traditional play-by-play and more like a friend live-reacting from the couch.

Kerr’s ejection itself came from a very specific flashpoint. With 7:57 left in the game at Intuit Dome, Kerr lost it after what he believed should have been a goaltending call on a Gary Payton II layup attempt. Kerr received back-to-back technical fouls and was tossed, needing to be restrained as he pursued the officials along the sideline. Assistant coach Terry Stotts took over as acting head coach.

On the broadcast, Snoop’s voice essentially became the soundtrack to the moment. As Kerr pleaded his case and the situation escalated, Snoop tracked the body language, the assistants stepping in, and the inevitability of the “you’re done” outcome, punctuating it with the kind of punchlines and ad-libs that made the clip feel like a crossover episode.

The game itself stayed tight to the end, with the Clippers edging Golden State 103–102 despite the turbulence. Stephen Curry scored 27 points but fouled out late, and Kawhi Leonard led L.A. with 24 points and 12 rebounds as the Warriors’ late rally fell short.
