The Portland Trail Blazers have officially turned back the clock, and the internet is feeling it. The released a reunion trailer announcing the return of Damian Lillard, their all-time leading scorer and longtime face of the team. The video, which ends with the words “Together Again”, features Lillard’s Blazers jersey hanging in the locker room.
It’s more than a trailer, it’s a homecoming.

Lillard, 35, signed a three-year, $42 million deal to rejoin the Trail Blazers after being waived by the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this summer. The contract includes a player option for the 2027–28 season and a rare no-trade clause, making Lillard one of only three active NBA players with such protection, the others being LeBron James, and Jaxson Hayes.
Despite suffering a torn Achilles tendon during the Bucks’ 2025 playoff run, Lillard is expected to spend the entire 2025–26 season rehabbing in Portland, where his family resides. Sources close to the situation say his desire to recover near loved ones played a major role in his decision to return.
Lillard spent 11 seasons with the Trail Blazers before being traded to Milwaukee in 2023. During his time in Portland, he racked up:
- 19,376 points (franchise record)
- 2,387 three-pointers (franchise record)
- 5,151 assists (second in franchise history)
- Seven All-Star selections
- Seven All-NBA honors
- Eight playoff appearances, including a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2019
He’s also the only player in franchise history to score 70 points in a single game, and has logged seven 55-point performances across regular season and playoff play.
