As trade rumors swirl across the NBA landscape, one franchise is standing firm, and one superstar isn’t going anywhere. Milwaukee Bucks president Peter Feigin made that crystal clear during a recent appearance at NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where he addressed speculation surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future.
“It’s where we’ve been for ten years. Giannis loves Milwaukee; Milwaukee loves Giannis. We’re at a good place. We feel great about it. It’s business as usual,” Feigin said.
Feigin’s comments come amid a flurry of offseason moves and media chatter suggesting that Antetokounmpo might be considering a change of scenery. The Bucks’ decision to waive Damian Lillard and bring in Myles Turner raised eyebrows, but Feigin insists the team remains committed to building around its two-time MVP.
“We get a fun little joy in everybody else thinking they know what’s going on and what the clickbait is,” Feigin added. “But for us, we’re in a good spot. Giannis is in a good place, he’s enjoying the summer. We’re looking forward to next season”.
Antetokounmpo himself has echoed similar sentiments, telling streamer iShowSpeed that he’ll “probably” stay in Milwaukee, despite outside pressure to consider markets like Los Angeles or New York.
The Bucks last won a championship in 2021, and while their roster has undergone significant changes, the front office remains confident in its direction. Turner, who reached the NBA Finals with the Pacers last season, has expressed optimism about his fit alongside Giannis, calling it “a pretty cohesive” pairing.
With training camp on the horizon and expectations rising, Milwaukee is betting on continuity, chemistry, and the enduring bond between its franchise player and the city he’s called home for over a decade.
