Stephen A. Smith Accuses LeBron James Of Dragging Out His Decision For Attention

Stephen A. Smith is tired of waiting for LeBron James and he does not believe LeBron is nearly as undecided as he appears.

As speculation continues over where James will play next season, Smith accused the four-time MVP of enjoying the drama, suspense and attention surrounding another major career decision.

“Don’t tell me this brother don’t like drama,” Smith said. “Don’t tell me he don’t like suspense. Don’t tell me that he ain’t about marketing.”

Then came the full-volume conclusion.

“It ain’t that damn hard to make a decision. You know exactly where the hell you’re going, LeBron James.”

James has reportedly received the information and pitches he needs, with Cleveland, Miami, and Golden State among the most prominent teams linked to him. No final decision has been announced, and there is no public proof that James has already secretly chosen his destination. Smith’s comments are therefore an opinion about the prolonged process, not inside information about LeBron’s plans.

Still, the frustration is understandable. Every extra day creates more rumors, more television debates and more breathless updates about meetings, friendships and legacy. In other words, it creates the exact kind of spectacle that has followed LeBron throughout his career.

Smith believes that spectacle is intentional.

Maybe James is genuinely weighing one of the biggest decisions of his career. Maybe he already knows and is waiting for the perfect moment to announce it.

Either way, Stephen A. has officially run out of patience… and made sure everyone heard about it.
