Dwyane Wade Says LeBron James Could Play Two More Seasons, Wants Him On The Utah Jazz

There has been plenty of talk about LeBron James’ final season in the NBA as he is now 41 years old. Still, LeBron hasn’t made any official announcement or even hinted at how long he plans to keep playing. Right now, the general belief is that he will likely play at least another season before calling it a career.

That scenario isn’t hard to imagine either. A ring this season could change the conversation, as it might make retirement more tempting for LeBron. Still, he will be a free agent next season, giving him the chance to choose where he wants to finish his career.

At the same time, LeBron hasn’t even reached average starter territory yet, much less bench player level. He may no longer be in his prime, and he doesn’t have the same explosive first step or above-the-rim dunks like before. But he is still producing at an All-Star level, averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game while shooting 50.4% from the field.

Because of that, it’s difficult to argue that he should retire purely because of age. Even with the mileage on his body, his production and impact remain among the best in the league.

With LeBron still showing plenty left in the tank, Dwyane Wade believes his former teammate could still play at least two more seasons. Wade even mentioned he’d welcome LeBron on the Utah Jazz, where he now holds a minority ownership stake.

“I think two. I think he can play two more,” Wade said. “And I got a team I would like for him to go to if he wants to play two more.”
