In one of the strangest moments of the young NBA season, fans were left scratching their heads, and laughing, after what appeared to be a cosmetic mishap involving Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby.
During a heated Eastern Conference showdown at the Garden, cameras caught a curious smudge on Anunoby’s jersey after a physical defensive exchange with Brown. The culprit? Allegedly, Brown’s freshly lined-up hairline, possibly enhanced with temporary filler or dye, which left a faint residue on Anunoby’s jersey.

“Bro got a hairline assist,” one fan joked on X. “OG’s jersey got a fresh fade,” another quipped. “Brown fades away…” also was used.
Modern grooming techniques often involve temporary enhancements to sharpen hairlines, especially under bright lights and HD cameras. Barbers use sprays, pencils, and fibers to create crisp lines, but they’re not exactly sweat-proof or contact-proof.
