NBA veteran Chris Paul surprised shoppers in Burbank, California, by donning a Walmart vest and working a shift at the retail giant. The 12-time All-Star was there to personally launch his new plant-based snack brand, Good Eat’n, now available nationwide at Walmart stores.
Paul rolled up his sleeves and joined Walmart employees to stock shelves, greet customers, and promote his line of vegan snacks. Wearing a name badge and flashing his signature smile, he handed out samples and posed for photos with fans, turning a routine shopping trip into a memorable moment for many.
The appearance marked a major milestone for Paul, who has become a vocal advocate for plant-based living since switching his diet in 2019. Frustrated by the lack of flavorful, healthy snack options, he partnered with Gopuff to create Good Eat’n. a brand that blends nostalgic flavors with clean, vegan ingredients.
“I wanted to make snacks that taste like the ones I grew up loving, but without all the junk,” Paul said during the launch. “This is about making plant-based eating fun, accessible, and delicious.”
The Good Eat’n lineup includes bold offerings like Hot Hot Puffs, Nacho Cheeze Tortilla Chips, Big Dill Ranch Chips, and Cookies N Creme Popcorn. All products are vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and free from artificial dyes—designed to appeal to both health-conscious consumers and snack lovers alike.
Paul’s Walmart shift wasn’t just a publicity stunt, it was a hands-on celebration of a brand he helped build from the ground up. The packaging even features artwork inspired by a painting from his daughter, adding a personal touch to the project.
