The Indiana Pacers have taken full control of the Eastern Conference Finals, securing a 114-109 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 2 at Madison Square Garden. The win gives Indiana a 2-0 series lead, putting them in prime position as the series shifts to Indianapolis.

The star of the night was Pascal Siakam, who delivered a playoff career-high 39 points on 15-of-23 shooting, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Siakam was unstoppable, scoring from all areas of the floor—attacking the rim, dominating the mid-range, and knocking down clutch three-pointers.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle praised Siakam’s performance, calling it “special” and emphasizing how he did everything necessary to secure the win. His ability to step up in crucial moments has been a game-changer for Indiana throughout the playoffs.

Indiana’s offense was firing on all cylinders, with six players scoring in double digits. Myles Turner contributed 16 points, while Tyrese Haliburton recorded 14 points and 11 assists. Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, and T.J. McConnell also provided key contributions, ensuring the Pacers maintained their offensive rhythm.

The Knicks, led by Jalen Brunson’s 36 points, fought hard to stay in the game. Brunson nearly led a late comeback, hitting crucial shots and assisting on a Josh Hart layup that brought New York within one point with 14 seconds left. However, Indiana held firm, knocking down free throws and securing the win.

With the series shifting to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Pacers have a golden opportunity to extend their lead. If they can maintain their offensive efficiency and defensive intensity, they could be on the verge of their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000.

For the Knicks, Game 3 is a must-win. They’ll need to find a way to slow down Siakam and match Indiana’s offensive firepower if they hope to turn the series around.
