Timberwolves Take 3-1 Series Lead With Game 4 Win Over Warriors

The Minnesota Timberwolves are now one win away from the Western Conference Finals after securing a 117-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 4.

Despite a slow start, Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle powered Minnesota to a dominant second-half performance, outscoring the Warriors 39-17 in the third quarter to take control of the game.

After the game, Edwards didn’t hold back when discussing Minnesota’s lack of urgency early on.

“We came out like we had won the game already, like we won the series already,” Edwards said. “When we came in at halftime, Coach told us ‘man, we’re playing like some losers.’”

That message clearly resonated, as the Timberwolves flipped the script in the second half, turning a 60-58 halftime deficit into a 20-point lead entering the fourth quarter.

The Warriors struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 8-for-27 from three-point range, failing to find their usual offensive rhythm without Stephen Curry, who missed his third straight game due to a hamstring injury.

With a 3-1 series lead, the Timberwolves will have a chance to close out the series at home in Game 5 on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, the Warriors face elimination and uncertainty surrounding Curry’s availability for a potential Game 6.
