Former Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard has made another public endorsement for his return to the Lakers, following Anthony Davis’s call for the team to sign a center.
With the Lakers facing challenges in their frontcourt, including injuries and a lack of depth, Anthony Davis has been vocal about the need for reinforcements. Davis, who prefers playing power forward, has openly stated that having a center alongside him would bolster the team’s performance and allow him to play his natural position more effectively.
Seizing this opportunity, Dwight Howard took to social media to signal his eagerness to rejoin his former team.
“It ain’t that hard to find a center 😴,”
Howard wrote on X, making his intentions clear.

Howard, who last played for the Lakers during the 2021-2022 season, has previously expressed his desire to make a comeback in the NBA while wearing a Lakers jersey once again. Despite his limited role during his last stint with the Lakers, Howard managed to bring a physical presence and rebounding prowess to the team.
Since leaving the NBA, Howard has played overseas for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan’s Super Basketball League, averaging 23.2 points and 16.2 rebounds per game.
