During an appearance on the PBD Podcast, NBA legend Scottie Pippen disclosed that he hasn’t spoken to his former teammate Michael Jordan since the release of “The Last Dance” documentary.

Pippen, who was a key player alongside Jordan in the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty, shared that their last conversation took place around the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the podcast, Pippen was asked by host Patrick Bet-David when the two last spoke. Pippen responded,

“Probably right around the pandemic.” When Bet-David inquired if that was the text exchange in May 2020 when Jordan reached out, Pippen confirmed, “Something like that.” He added that they briefly spoke but haven’t communicated since.

Pippen didn’t delve into the details of their final conversation but mentioned that it was “good and final.” He also expressed his belief that Jordan is a difficult person to deal with and that their relationship was never as strong off the court as it was on it. Pippen further noted that while Jordan was a great teammate, they were never really close friends.

Despite their on-court success, Pippen’s comments highlight the challenges of maintaining personal connections in the high-pressure world of professional sports. Pippen’s appearance on the PBD Podcast was filled with raw and unfiltered insights, touching on various aspects of his career and the current state of the NBA.

His honesty and openness provided a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes dynamics of one of the most iconic duos in basketball history.
