Former NBA All-Star Brandon Roy had to rush onto the court to restrain his daughter, Mariah, during a high school basketball game between Garfield High School and West Seattle High School in Seattle.
The game, which ended in an 11-point victory for Garfield, quickly descended into chaos at the final buzzer when punches started flying.
The altercation began when a West Seattle player attempted to steal the ball from Garfield’s point guard as she tried to dribble out the clock. The point guard responded by throwing the ball at her opponent, sparking a brawl that saw both benches clear and multiple punches thrown.
Amid the chaos, Brandon Roy, who is the head coach of Garfield’s boys’ basketball team, ran onto the court to hold back his daughter and prevent her from getting further involved.
