Vanessa Bryant’s Perfect Reaction To Staples Center’s Name Change
Yesterday, it was revealed that one of the world’s most famous sport venues will be chaining its names soon.
Los Angeles’ legendary Staples Center is getting renamed to Crypto.com Arena on December 25, in what is believed to be the largest U.S. venue naming rights deal to date.
Many Lakers fans have always associated the franchise with their iconic home, since they’ve been playing at Staples ever since. So it’s obvious that many fans couldn’t believe it and were pretty mad about it.
I mean nobody will most likely ever call Staples Center, Crypto.com Arena, much like the people of Chicago still have the Sears Tower and John Hancock Center.
Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant also chimed in on the name change and had the best possible name for it, calling it “The House that Kobe Built”.
